What is a Trikke, you ask? It's simply one of the coolest, body-propelled ways to glide! Pronounced "Tr-eye-k", it's three-wheel mobility that's fun for all ages.
Trikke provides a total body workout. You don't pedal it. Instead you do what's called "carving." You propel yourself forward by moving side to side similar to inline skating or skiing. With its standing "active rider" platform, riding a Trikke is lower impact than running, and it eliminates the neck strain and saddle discomfort of a bike.
Trikke is great for adding to an exercise routine, for cross-training, for weight loss, or just for outdoor fun. Lightweight and foldable, they're easy to carry and store. Green, sustainable electric-hybrid versions are also available, which are ideal for recreational rides and personal mobility.
On a Trikke, instead of pedaling you "carve". There's a learning curve, but once you get it, you're hooked! The key to propulsion is allowing the momentum of one turn to fuel the next turn, and the next. Each turn builds momentum. Turning is like pedaling on a bicycle. Stop turning and you stop going. Lean into the turn, and you're "carving." There's a rhythm to it, much like skating.
Most models fold in half for very easy transporting and storage. Ride it in your neighborhood, on greenways, or take your Trikke with you to the beach, camping, or wherever you go!
