Voucher Expiration
To receive the promotional value of your voucher, you must complete the activity before the expiration date stated on your voucher. After the expiration, your unused voucher loses its promotional value but remains valid for use for the amount you paid for it (the purchase value). The purchase value does not expire until you use the voucher. You may apply the expired voucher to any activity's regular fare, paying the difference in price upon making your reservation.
Reserve Early
Please make your reservation well in advance of your voucher's expiration. Don't wait until the final weeks of the promotion, as dates could be sold out. Weekend dates and holiday periods may book quickly. Reservations are subject to availability.
Rescheduling
You can reschedule your reservation if you provide us a minimum of 24 hours notice. If you do not provide the minimum notice period, you will forfeit your ticket. To reschedule, we prefer that you contact us by Email. Activities made with Living Social vouchers must be completed before their expiration date to receive the full promotional value.
Activity Times & Late Arrivals
The time stated for the activity, and shown on your confirmation, is when you need to arrive. Please allow sufficient time to park so that you can arrive promptly. All Segway tours and Trikke Photo Excursion Workshops begin with mandatory hands-on rider training. Stand Up Paddleboarding Lessons begin with hands-on instruction on paddling techniques. If you arrive late, it may be too late to join the training and you will thereby forfeit your ticket. For your planning purposes, please allow up to 30 additional minutes for your total time with us. For example, if you've booked a 1 hour tour, allow 90 minutes.
Activity Restrictions & Policies
Minimum Segway and Trikke rider age is 14 years old (no exceptions). Minimum age for Stand Up Paddleboarding Lessons is 12. Guests under 18 must be accompanied on any of our activities by a responsible adult or guardian. Segway participants must weigh between 100 and 260 pounds. Trikke participants must not exceed 250 pounds. For safety reasons, pregnant women are not allowed to participate in our Segway tours, Trikke excursion workshops, and Stand Up Paddleboarding Lessons. All participants for any activity will be required to sign a liability waiver prior to participating.
Weather Policy
Triangle Glides will make the final determination if an activity is cancelled and will contact the ticket holder at the phone number provided with the reservation. (This may occur with just 90 minutes notice.)
If the weather forecast at tour/class time calls for periods of heavy or sustained rain, lightning, ice, snow or other similar unfavorable conditions, Triangle Glides will cancel the activity and ticket holders will be allowed to reschedule to a new date (subject to availability). For stand up paddleboarding, strong winds or localized strong wind gusts can also be cause for us to cancel a tour.
You may always reschedule your tour with us in advance (24 hours minimum notice) to another available date. For full promotional Living Social value, your activity must be completed before the voucher expiration date.
Parking
Convenient parking is available in the Blount Street Parking Deck across from our shop (between Martin and Davie Streets), as well as the City Market Parking Lot, accessed from Person and Martin Streets. Both are pay lots. The Blount deck is usually free on weekends unless there's a downtown event. There's also metered parking (up to 2 hours) in the immediate area. Please see our Map & Directions page for information about our store location. For Stand Up Paddleboarding Lessons, the classes meet directly at the lake. Lake Wheeler is located at 6404 Lake Wheeler Rd in Raleigh.
Gratuities
Your Living Social voucher does not include guide/instructor gratuity. If you feel your guide/instructor provided an exceptional experience and you would like to recognize it with a gratuity, you may do so at your discretion and leave it directly with your guide/instructor at the end of your activity.
